Rain Water Conservation

Will the Minister of Forest and Environment be pleased to state: .

  • whether the Government has been taking steps for rain water conservation; .
  • if so, the details thereof; . whether the Government proposes afforestation of exposed hill-slopes as per ‘Ridge to Valley’ Watershed Development approach and increasing forest canopy cover in order to ensure conservation of rain water; .
  • if so, the details thereof; and .
  • if not, the reasons thereto?
