BJP MP Varun Gandhi sprang a surprise on Wednesday morning as he reached Ramlila Maidan to extend support to Anna Hazare.

Varun Gandhi, who has been vocal in his support for Anna Hazare's movement, told reporters that his visit had nothing to do with his party.

He clarifed that he had come to Ramlila Maidan as a common man as he supported the cause of Anna Hazare.

When asked how he could toe a different line from the party, Varun said he was also responsible to the citizens of the country.
